Open the DMG
Double-click the downloaded SnipCopy.dmg file from your Downloads folder.

Move to Applications
Drag SnipCopy.app into your Applications folder when the window appears.

Allow Screen Recording
On first launch, macOS will ask for Screen Recording permission. Grant it — that is the only permission required.

Start snipping
Press ⌘⇧2 from anywhere, drag over any text, press ⌘V. Done.
About Screen Recording permission
SnipCopy only captures your screen when you actively press the hotkey and drag a selection. Nothing runs in the background, nothing is recorded, and no data is captured without your action.
